Battery Current Sensor 1 Circuit High Voltage (HYBRID MODELS)
Description
With the ignition switch ON (ll), the battery current sensor signal is 4.5 V or more for at least 0.5 seconds. (IMA system indicator is ON) WARNING: The IMA system uses high voltage (144 V), before servicing turn OFF the battery module switch.
Cause and Solution
Poor connections or loose terminals at the MCM and the battery current sensor Short to power in the wire between the battery current sensor and the MCM Open circuit between the junction board connector and the MCM Faulty battery module Update the MCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good MCM.
