Description

When the Driver Door Module (DDM) or Passenger Door Module (PDM) receives a door lock unlock signal from one of the Door Lock Unlock Switches, the DDM or PDM sends a CAN Bus message, through the CAN IHS Bus circuit, to the Body Control Module (BCM). When the BCM receives this CAN Bus message, the BCM activates an internal relay to provide voltage to the Door Lock Unlock Motors through the Door Lock Relay Control circuit or the Door Unlock Control circuit. A ground path for the Door Lock Unlock Motors is provided through the wiring harness. The Door Lock Unlock Motors are integral to the Driver and Passenger Door Latches.
