Park Neutral Position Switch Circuit Malfunction
Description
Engine started, vehicle driven to over 50 mph at an engine speed from 2000-4000 rpm, MAP sensor indicating more than 300 mmHg, and the PCM detected the P N switch indicated Neutral for 30 seconds or two different P N switch signals at the same time.
Cause and Solution
P N switch signal circuit is open, shorted to ground or to powerP N switch power or ground circuit is openP N switch is out of adjustment, damaged or has failedPCM has failed
