CKP 58X Sensor Missing Signals
Description
Engine started, and the PCM detected extra or missing pulses between consecutive 58X CKP reference pulses, or the number of extra or missing teeth signals was more than or equal to 2 per revolution in 10-100 revolutions.
Cause and Solution
CKP sensor (+) or (-) circuit is open (intermittent fault)
CKP sensor (+) or (-) circuit is shorted to ground (intermittent)
CKP sensor is damaged or has failed
