Camshaft Position Sensor Signal Range Performance
Description
Engine started, engine running, and the PCM detected an unexpected loss of the CMP sensor signal (the CMP Resync Counter will increment when this condition exists) during the test. This engine uses a Hall effect design type of CMP sensor.
Cause and Solution
CMP sensor signal circuit is open (intermittent fault)
CMP sensor signal circuit is grounded (intermittent fault)
CMP ground circuit is open (intermittent fault)
CMP sensor is damaged or has failed
