Intake Air Temperature Sensor Low Input (Intermittent)
Description
DTC P0502 not set, engine runtime over 60 seconds, ECT sensor over 18ºF, VSS sensor under 30 mph, calculated airflow less than 30 g sec, and the PCM detected that the IAT sensor was momentarily too low (spiked low).
Cause and Solution
IAT sensor signal circuit shorted to ground (intermittent fault)
IAT sensor is damaged or has failed (an intermittent fault)
