Description
Trouble Code Conditions Key on or engine running; and the PCM detected the MAF sensor output current was more than 4.90 mA for 5 seconds. Note: The PCM will enter the Fail-Safe Function and determine injector drive time according to TP sensor and engine speed as well as IAC valve position and injector frequency when this code sets.
Cause and Solution
MAF sensor element hot wire is contaminated or dirtyMAF sensor is damaged or has failedMAF sensor signal circuit is open between the sensor and PCMMAF sensor wiring routed too close to the ignition wiresMAF sensor wiring routed to close to the back of the GeneratorPCM has failed
