PCM Failure (EMR SRI Mileage Not Stored)

Description

Key on, and the PCM detected an unsuccessful attempt to write the Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) or Emission Mileage Request (EMR) mileage to an EEPROM located occurred during initialization.

Cause and Solution

Clear the trouble codes and retest for the same trouble code. If DTC P1697 resets, replace the PCM and then reprogram it.
