Rear Sun Shade Control 1 - Circuit Short To Ground
Description
The Rear Sun Shade Switch is a momentary switch hard-wired to the Body Control Module (BCM). The BCM provides a reference voltage, through a pull-up resistor that is connected to battery voltage, to the Rear Sun Shade Switch through the Rear Sun Shade Switch Sense circuit. When the Rear Sun Shade Switch is pressed, the Rear Sun Shade Switch switches to ground, providing a ground signal to the BCM.

This sub type is used for failures, where the control module measures ground (battery negative) potential for greater than a specified time period or when some other value is expected.
