What is airbag module crash data reset?

Crash data reset is the process of erasing accident data from the EEPROM memory in the airbag control unit (SRS module).

After an impact, crash data is stored in the module and the airbag warning light illuminates on the dashboard. The reset erases this data, returning the module to its original state — as if the accident never happened.
