What is an EEPROM file and how do I get it?

EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) is a memory chip in the airbag control unit that stores crash data.

To obtain the EEPROM file, you need:

• A diagnostic tool — such as Carprog, VVDI Prog, Orange5, or another EEPROM chip programmer.
• Access to the airbag module — the module must be disconnected from the vehicle (or connected via OBD port with some tools).

Save the read file in .bin format and upload it when placing your order.
